Paul Castles catches up with The King Is Blind frontman Steve Tovey (pictured far right, above) following their crushing set on the Sophie Lancaster Stage at Bloodstock.

Heavier than a steam engine, and with a sound that embraces elements of death and black metal, the Suffolk brutalists continue to build on the interest generated by this year’s impressive debut album Our Father.

Following an appearance at Download earlier this year, they moved onto Catton Park and you can listen to what they had to say here.

The King Is Blind are on tour around the UK with Akercocke in October.
