Skunk Anansie announce new EU dates & full support acts

British rock icons Skunk Anansie have delighted fans across the world with their brand-new single ‘Piggy’. A punk-rock blast of distorted riffs, snarling vocals and powerhouse rhythms, topped off with Skin’s establishment-baiting lyrics taking aim squarely between the eyes of the corrupt and venal politicians currently in power, it’s as confrontational and uncompromising as anything the band have done over the course of their long and illustrious career.

Following the original lyric video, with its rage at the UK’s right-wing, Brexit-loving government and disgraced prime minister, the band have now unveiled a brand-new animated video. Stark imagery of neo-fascist pig leaders, warplanes, mass population control, machine guns and geo-political manoeuvres – all fuelled by dirty money – take the song to a whole new level.

The animation has been specially created by Miles Liverpool, the 17-year old godson of Skunk Anansie bassist Cass Lewis, whose illustrations and artwork can be seen on Instagram @mfxdraws

Skunk Anansie will be heading out on a massive European tour this spring, featuring rescheduled dates from their hugely acclaimed 25th Anniversary tour, with new shows also added due to phenomenal demand.

The band will be supported variously by New Pagans, Gen And The Degenerates, Holocene and Shelf Lives with DuBlonde, Big Joanie, Sweet Crisis, Morganway and Dikta also appearing at different shows.

The full list of UK and European shows are below and remaining tickets are available here: https://skunkanansie.com/live-dates

The band will also be appearing as part of the 2022 Meltdown Festival in June, which this year is curated by Grace Jones, with further live news and more brand-new music to be announced in due course.
