The first time Downfall of Gaia played Birmingham they were welcomed by around 10 people. Fortunately there were a few more present on their recent return when playing at The Rainbow. Paul Castles was among them and he caught up with singer Dominik and drummer Mike.
“We don’t really see ourselves as a Black Metal band. We just do what we love to do and what feels right at that moment. Of course, our new record has a lot of blastbeats, with maybe a post Black Metal vibe. But it’s not something we want to say about ourselves. We don’t know how our next record will sound, it may be completely different.”
