Soph Day, singer with Birmingham’s melancholic doom maestros Alunah, can almost hear the sonic waves from Bloodstock by opening her kitchen window. This year the rising stars of the UK doom scene actually got to play there. Paul Castles caught up with Soph and guitarist Dan Burchmore at Catton Park.
“We have been writing behind the scenes and jamming stuff out but it has been quite relaxed. It’s quite organic really. We’re just strumming things out and seeing where they go. We know what the next album is going to be written about and we’ve a rough idea of the title so were quite ahead of ourselves really.”
