Mortishead had the honour of opening up Bloodstock 2015 when appearing on the Hobgoblin New Blood Stage at a time when most of the early arrivals were still sitting by their tent negotiating a bacon butty. Undeterred, the Bristol hellraisers showed just how they had impressed the judges to win their regional heat of Metal 2 The Masses and by the end of their set they had drawn a good crowd to the NBS tent. Paul Castles caught up with Luke (singer) and Jono (guitar) to find out how it all went.
‘Winning Metal 2 The Masses was awesome. It was a rollercoaster that just kept going. The plan now is to get the album completed and out by early New Year. We’ve spent so much time with the gigs but now it’s time to get the songs down and get it out. We’ll then be touring that release.’
