The post-festival season leads into the album release and tour season and there’s a spate of quality albums for you to enjoy…

 

The Temperance Movement recently issued their debut album aptly titled ‘The Temperance Movement’. It managed a mid-week album chart high of No9 with the final chart revealing that they had reached the heady heights of 12 and no 3 in the rock album charts. They tour the UK/Europe right up to Xmas including Stoke Sugarmill 15th Nov and Birmingham Academy 20th Nov.

 

Black Spiders issued their second album ‘This Savage Land’ after a successful Pledge Music campaign. It attained No6 in the Official Rock album charts. Read our review here. They tour in October including Birmingham Academy on 8th, and then head out across Europe with Airbourne.

 

Northern Ireland revivalists The Answer released their latest album New Horizon on 30th Sept through Napalm Records.

They tour the UK in October with the excellent Tracer in support. The tour includes the Rescue Rooms, Nottingham 24th Oct but the scheduled date at the Wulfrun Hall, Wolverhampton 18th Oct has now been moved to the Slade Rooms.

The band courted controversy with their video of ‘Spectacular’ which was banned on YouTube for being too explicit. Thankfully vevo are not so shy and we give you the uncensored version below… warning it contains nipples being bitten!

 

The Union have recently issued a live DVD ‘Live at the Guidehall’ filmed at Derby’s Guildhall Theatre in the summer of 2013.

Fresh off the back of landing a nomination for Best New Band of 2013 in this year’s prestigious Classic Rock Awards, London’s hotly-tipped, blues-soaked, garage rock ‘n’ rollers THE GRAVELTONES announce their debut album ‘Don’t Wait Down’ which is set for release on October 21 through the band’s own independent label Lagoon Dog Records, and distributed by RSK Entertainment.
