Wednesday 13 announces new album and artwork auction opportunity

2013 is a special year for WEDNESDAY 13. Not only is it his very own ‘personalised’ year of the 21st century, but it marks 10 years of WEDNESDAY 13 (solo band) and 20 years of WEDNESDAY 13 releasing music in the Horror Rock genre. In anticipation and celebration of 2013, Wednesday is busy preparing a global touring schedule and readying his next full-length album release, ‘The Dixie Dead’.
‘The Dixie Dead’ will hit stores early next Spring, and Wednesday is offering fans the opportunity to be a part of it, and be ‘buried’ in the CD booklet.
The album artwork features a spooky graveyard, ‘The Dixie Dead Cemetery’, with 13 available plots. In a kickstarter type idea, the plots are up for auction on Ebay now, and each winning bidder will have his/her name etched on the gravestone for all of eternity and receive an autographed copy of the new CD. The lucky #13 (centre plot) will also come with an autographed ESP guitar that was used by Wednesday during ‘The Dixie Dead’ studio recordings.
“The Dixie Dead” aims to be WEDNESDAY 13′s most aggressive undertaking to date. Wednesday is working on a host of limited edition ideas for the initial orders that will be revealed soon, as well as a number of video projects to be unveiled at a later date.
Wednesday’s new EP, “Spook & Destroy” hits stores in October 2012 to coincide with an international tour beginning on Oct 25th in Brisbane, Australia and ending November 18th in St. Petersburg, Russia, including a very special Halloween show on 31st October at London’s KOKO. The EP features 2 new songs, re-recordings of some fan favourites, plus two remixes by Ross Smith.
With 2013 right around the corner, WEDNESDAY 13 has already secured tour dates for the first portion of the year to support “The Dixie Dead”. Stay tuned for full details soon.
