These Wicked Rivers announce ‘Force of Nature’ UK Tour Dec 2023

Derby blues-rockers These Wicked Rivers have announced their biggest UK headline tour to date in conjunction with Planet Rock.

The 11 date tour kicks off in Southampton on 1st December, calling in at Planet Rock’s Rockstock in Trecco Bay before heading onwards to Norwich, Birmingham, Sheffield, Glasgow, London, Chester and Newcastle. The tour winds up in Bristol on December 17th after their hometown Christmas celebration at The Hairy Dog, Derby.

With a reputation for soulful-bordering-on-spiritual live performances, timeless songcraft and… lampshades, the band promises to crank things up a notch at the forthcoming shows. Expect to hear new music from the Rivers’ hotly anticipated second album as well as fan-favourites such as ‘Testify’ and ‘Don’t Pray For Me’.

Singer John Hartwell comments: “We can’t wait to head out on the road in December with Planet Rock as we prepare for the release of our second album. Anyone who has seen the band before will know that we live to play live and make each show its own experience; this tour will be taking that to the next level”

Guitarist Arran Day adds: “This is a call for all those that are yet to join the TWR family or experience a show; comb your beards and put flowers in your hair, come down and spend an evening with us. You will not regret it! See you at a show, don’t forget your hat.”

Established in 2014, These Wicked Rivers are Derby’s entry to the new wave of rock and roll that is sweeping across the United Kingdom. Drawing influence from the well of rock legends and blues greats, the band have made quite an impact since their inception with their unique brand of blues-infused modern rock. With the follow up to critically acclaimed debut album ‘Eden’ coming very soon be sure to catch the band in full flight across the UK this December.
