The Procession are a 4-piece alternative indie-rock band based in the Midlands and made up of James Best – Vocals & Guitar / Martin Byrne -Vocals, Guitar & Keys / Paul Richardson – Bass Guitar / Rob Gill – Drums.
Their debut four-track EP, ‘Sometimes’ was released on Circular Records in 2011, to critical acclaim and their new album, ‘You Are Now Leaving The Future’ is released on the 28th of October. The album was recorded in Kasabian’s secret studio complex in Leicestershire where the band spent a large part of the past year.
From the album, the single “Cease & Desist” will be officially released and a full UK tour will also accompany the album release, including the following Midlands date:
Friday 9th November 8:00pm at the Actress & Bishop, Birmingham, £6 (36 Ludgate Hill B3 1EH)
The band formed in 2007 while all band members were at university and immediately started to make waves in the local live music scene. They have been widely praised for their otherworldly sound and volatile live performances accumulated through playing local festivals, supporting established acts, appearing on local and national radio and also appearing in numerous UK magazines.
The Procession seized their break after becoming the inaugural winners of www.BandForTheDay.com ‘s international unsigned band competition. They saw off over 2000 entries to win and it became clear that The Procession were a band to watch.
