Stone Temple Pilots celebrate Purple 25th Anniversary release with HD videos

On June 7, 1994 Stone Temple Pilots released their second studio album, Purple and established their place as one of the definitive bands of their generation, as the album debuted #1 on the Billboard album chart on it’s way to selling more than six million copies.

Today marks the release the Super Deluxe Edition of Purple featuring a remastered version of the original studio album on both CD and vinyl, plus unreleased versions of album tracks and rarities, along with an unreleased full concert recording from 1994.  The collection is available from Rhino as a 3CD/1-LP set and via digital download and streaming services. Purple also spawned two of the most iconic videos of the band’s career for the classic tracks “Interstate Love Song” and “Vasoline,” helping propel Scott Weiland, Dean DeLeo, Robert DeLeo and Eric Kretz to one of the most popular and influential bands of the decade. In conjunction with the reissue of Purple, both videos have been enhanced to HD 1080p resolution on YouTube, making them sharper and more dynamic than ever.

Stone Temple Pilots recently wrapped a co-headlining tour with Rival Sons, and are currently putting the finishes on a new album of original material to be released in 2020 with lead vocalist, Jeff Gutt.
