Manchester’s dynamic blues rockers, Snakewater, will release their first new song since the acclaimed 2017 album – Ain’t No More Room In Hell.
Girl Like You will be self-released across all digital download and streaming platforms on Fri 30 November 2018
It’s a song close to mainman, Bobby Grant’s heart. He explains, “I found myself single again after an 11 year relationship. I dated a few women but they were all after just one thing and after a while, you sure did miss what was most important… then ‘the one’ came along and she is now my finacee. She has changed my life and stolen my heart.”
“The song was recorded at The Edge Studios in Cheshire and I knew right from the start that I wanted to pay respects to some of the ‘clean’ blues guys like Stevie Ray and Buddy Guy, whilst maintaining the Snakewater sound. I think we achieved that; you can clearly hear the Chicago and Texan blues sound from the guitars.”
Snakewater were forged in the valleys and mountains surrounding Manchester, England by founding member, Bobby Grant. A trio of raw power, they effortlessly mirror the epic surroundings of their Peak District origins with a sound born of the blues, mixed with classic rock and soul. Snakewater create a sound uniquely their own whilst always doffing a cap to the great acts they have grown up listening to. With a love for all things rock n roll; Led Zeppelin, Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, Peter Green and Bad Company have all contributed to the self-education and sound that is SNAKEWATER.
