Slam Dunk Festival (Midlands) Architects, Finch, Set it Off, We Are The Ocean join You Me at Six, Lower Than Atlantis



Just two weeks after announcing more bands, Slam Dunk Festival has revealed the full line-up this morning. Following two previous huge announcements, the festival, which takes place over the May bank holiday weekend (23rd  May – 25th May 2015) at three sites in Leeds, Hatfield and Wolverhampton, also announced a massive increase in capacity at all events late last year.

Joining the already announced headliners YOU ME AT SIX, as well as the likes of DON BROCO, PVRIS, LOWER THAN ATLANTIS and THE BRONX will be ARCHITECTS, playing a UK festival exclusive at SLAM DUNK, are one of the best, most respected and most successful modern UK metal bands. Recent album ‘Lost Forever, Lost Together’ entered the UK chart at 16, the band have also graced the cover of Kerrang! and Rock Sound magazines, played Radio 1 Rock week, been Radio 1 Track Of The Day with ‘Naysayer’, toured the entire world in the last 18 months and have just started their latest UK headline tour on 9th March, with the London show on March 14th being at a now sold out Roundhouse. From front man Sam Carter: ‘It’s going to be one to remember for us and the crowd’

Joining them will be legendary Californian post-hardcore band FINCH who are still on the road supporting the excellent album ‘Back To Oblivion’. This release is their first full album since they reformed in 2012, and was released September 2014 through Razor and Tie.

Also added to the bill include SLAM DUNK FESTIVAL favourites, Essex born and bred WE ARE THE OCEAN, who are readying the release of their very fresh sounding, brand new album ‘Ark’ on May 11th, Florida pop punk buzz band SET IT OFF who saw front man Cody Carson grace the cover of Rock Sound this month along with AS IT IS front man Patty Waters, who will arrive at the festival as one of THE bands to watch this festival season.

Further acts being announced include Georgia (US) band CARTEL who will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of seminal debut album ‘Chroma’ this year at the festival, fast rising and red hot UK pop punk band ROAM, increasingly omnipresent Kent emo band MOOSE BLOOD who are one of the most exciting new prospects in the UK scene.

ALSO CONFIRMED INCLUDE: Orange County hardcore boys STICK TO YOUR GUNS, who arrive on the back of the recently released (and brilliant) ‘Disobedient’ album, named after a Dr Dre song, Australian punks DEEZ NUTS return to the festival to wreak havoc, the much acclaimed and cherished Californian melodic hardcore band BEING AS AN OCEAN, Sheffield punk-metal chaps DEAD HARTS, the recently renamed Birmingham metallers SHVPES (previously called Cytota), wonderful acoustic singer songwriter ROB LYNCH and acoustic pop punk duo from California, THIS WILD LIFE.


Wolverhampton is the closing party. So grab tickets at for over fifty bands and six stages of pure entertainment.
