Scars Of Protest – Weapons + Morals

Scars of Protest release their new single and video: Weapons + Morals.  The track is the other half of their double A sided single – which also includes the track Switchblade.

The band were formed in 2014 in Southampton (UK) and what began as a catharsis to work through a period of deep depression and anxiety, has evolved into something much more.

Vocalist, Tim Osmond says:   “It’s no longer just about our personal or individual struggles but a means to also use our voice to give one to those who don’t have one… To the less fortunate, the downtrodden, the marginalised, those persecuted due to sexuality, race, religion or creed… We have something to say and we’re not afraid to say it. We will stand up for what we believe in and believe in standing up for one another..”

On the single releases, he adds:
“Switchblade and Weapons + Morals were inspired by the current UK and worldwide political climate and feeling like we have a platform and should be using it to address issues or injustices we see. Although not all of these issues face us individually on a daily basis, we wanted to be a voice for the voiceless and stand up for what we believe. Our songs have always been about generating a connection or emotive response from those that listen, these songs intend to still be true to that but not just focus on our personal issues or struggles with mental health like we have focused on before”.
