Iconic rockers Yes will release a new live album Like It is through Frontiers Records on 5th December. The Double CD and DVD package was filmed at Bristol Hippodrome.
The ‘super group’ I have previously mentioned that Frontiers Records have put together featuring Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Deen Castronovo (Journey) and Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake) have now been named as Revolution Saints. Their debut album will be released in February 2015 and was written and produced by Alessandro Del Vecchio.
Frontiers Records also bring us another new super group, this one is called Last In Line and they will have a debut album out in 2015. The band features former Dio band members (hence the moniker) Vivan Campbell, Vinny Appice, Jimmy Bain and Claude Schnell – they will feature vocalist Andrew Freeman.
Rated X which features Joe Lynn Turner, Carmine Appice, Tony Franklin and Karl Cochran have just released their debut music video. ‘This Is Who I Am’ is lifted from the band’s debut self titled album which is released via Frontiers in early November.
We have a new melodic rock label on the way – Lion’s Pride Music. The label is based in Denmark and promises to bring back some old favourites and new faces to scene! The first release will be a taster compilation album entitled Elements of Friction. It will include tracks from Marcello/Vestry, Tommy La Verdi, Paul Laine, Mats Leven, Snakes In Paradise and Matti Alfonzetti. Worth keeping an eye on methinks!
Adriangale will release their best of entitled Final Piece on November 25th on Kivel Records. It will be a double disc set; Disc 1 featuring tracks from all five studio albums, Disc 2 will feature two brand new songs plus a selection rarities and unreleased material. Their latest album Defiance which was recently released is still available from all the usual places and the official Kivel records website.

Germans Wicked Sensation return with a new album Adrenaline Rush. It will be released on November 28th on AOR Heaven. The fourth album sees the introduction of a new singer in the form of popular American vocalist David Reece who steps in following the departure of Robert Soeterboek due to health reasons. The album will feature tracks ‘King of The World’, ‘Misery’, ‘Leave Me Like A Fool’ and ‘Living On My Madness’.
Meanwhile, David Recce has decided to step down as the front man of Tango Down. He has decided to concentrate on EZ Livin, the above Wicked Sensation and his solo work for the immediate future.
Aussie AOR-sters White Widdow return with a new album Crossfire on November 28th it will be released by AOR Heaven. The album will feature the following songs ‘Just Another Night’, ‘Too Many Tears’, ‘Angel’ and ‘Carry The Heartache’. This album is the first from them following the sad passing of drummer George Kristy, the line-up now features Ben Webster on bass and Noel Tenny on drums.
As I have already reported cult Canadian rockers Harem Scarem have started a pledge fund campaign for their latest album 13 and it surprised no one when they smashed their campaign target within a few days of it starting. It will however get a general release via Frontiers Records, so for those not wishing to pledge you will be able to pick it up from all your favourite online stores in December. 13 will feature the following tracks ‘Garden of Eden’, ‘The Midnight Hours’, ‘All I Need’ and ‘Never Say Never’.
The much talked about new album from Unruly Child Down The Rabbit Hole will be released in two parts and will initially be available on digital download only. The band has stated once part two is released a full CD album will be released compromising the two parts. Part one is out right now via CD Baby and I-Tunes and features seven tracks including ‘Breaking Hearts’ and ‘Say I Love You’.
Heart have a new live CD/DVD combo out via Frontiers Records. Home For The Holidays features special guest appearances from Sammy Hagar, Richard Marx, Shawn Colvin and Train’s Pat Monahan. This seasonal themed collection has a very interesting set-list and one I’m sure will be of great interest to Heart super fans.

UK pop rockers Romeo’s Daughter have finally released their recent live DVD/CD package entitled Alive; it was filmed at the Guildhall in Derby in 2012. Former Enuff Znuff singer songwriter Donnie Vie will release a brand new solo album The White Album on December 1st via Cargo Records. This double album also features two covers John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’ and Chicago’s ’25 or 6 to 4’.

Rumours are abound that Van Halen are in the mixing stages of a brand new album to be released next year. This will be the follow up to 2012’s surprise hit A Different Kind Of Truth.
Guitarist Joel Hoekstra formerly of Night Ranger and now axe slinger for Whitesnake has announced he’s part of a new super group featuring Russell Allen on Vocals, Vinny Appice – drums, Tony Franklin – bass, Derek Sherinian – keyboards and Jeff Scott Soto – background vocals. The as yet unnamed band is negotiating with a prominent record label with a plan to release in spring 2015.
German rockers Blind Guardian will release their highly anticipated tenth album Beyond The Red Mirror in January. This album has been four and a half years in the making and will feature the following tracks ‘Twilight Of The Gods’, ‘The Throne’, ‘At the Edge of Time’ and ‘Miracle Machine’.
For the jet set amongst us Frontiers Records have announced their second label showcase Festival. Frontiers Rock Festival will take place on April 11th and 12th in Trezzo, Milan, Italy at the Live Club. Day one will feature Angelica, Praying Mantis, Eclipse, Circus Maximus, FM, Last In Line and headliners Joe Lynn Turner. Day 2 will feature Bailey, Vega, Ted Poley, Pink Cream 69, Treat, Lynch Mob and headliners Pride Of Lions.
Dokken have announced their new bass player will be Mark Boals; the singer/bassist will replace Sean McNabb. McNabb’s departure has been attributed to his other projects and acting work. Although obviously the ‘gossip’ focuses on Boals vocal abilities been a buffer to back up Don Dokken’s vocals, a subject of much moaning by fans in recent years.
