Singer/songwriter Henry Bateman releases ‘Seinfeld Street’, the lead single from his forthcoming studio album ‘A Ghost Inside’, on 15th May.
The self-released track delves deep into that lockdown feeling we’re all too familiar with. “Like a lot of people, I was in isolation for three and a half months last year, it’s an interesting experiment – an experience I’m glad I’ve had, but don’t want to repeat”, says Bateman, “with Seinfeld Street I was trying to explore that feeling you get when you’re on your own for too long”.
With it’s upbeat drums, gently fuzzed guitars and aching piano, this song is no downer. It’s a melodic treat, vaguely reminiscent of Fleetwood Mac’s rockier moments. See what you think from Friday when the song is released on all digital platforms as well as Bateman’s own website.
