Midlands Rocks are excited to premiere the brand new video by retro Swedish rockers Black River Ink.
Swedish vintage rock band Black Ink River have been working on their debut album for almost two years and they are now in the final stage of mixing and mastering. The ambition is to release a vinyl LP next year on a label that have bands in the same genre of music.
Heavily influenced by the early 70’s rock and blues bands, it’s easy to hear the likes of Zeppelin, Hendrix, Purple and Fleetwood Mac. Anybody who follows Blues Pills, Vintage Caravan and Kadaver, who are all following a similar path from different angles, should add Black Ink River to their list of bands to check out. ‘In The End’ is a laid back blues tune with a heavier undercurrent that evolves into an expansive rocker with sublime soloing to the fade. It follows their previous video release, ‘The Vultures Among Us’.
Dano Wahlström (vocals) and Anders Modd (bass) both play in metal bands (GrandExit and Wolf) but they are both big fans of rock bands from the seventies. Bosse Karlsson (guitar) and Roger Johannessen (drums) both come from a more traditional rock and blues background having played in various bands through the years. These two worlds merged and formed this heavy and groovy thing that is Black Ink River.
