Awake By Design album launch to take place in September

AWAKE BY DESIGN ALBUM LAUNCH – THE SLADE ROOMS – Friday 14th September 2012

In the last two years Awake By Design have kicked up a storm in the West Midlands supporting acts such as Apocalyptica, Anathema, Sonata Arctica, My Dying Bride, Diamond Head, Leaves Eye’s and Pain Of Salvation on the back of their critically acclaimed debut album ‘Sentiment’. Not many bands recover from multiple line-up changes let alone come back stronger and more determined than ever to succeed in their objectives. However, Awake By Design is one such band.

This year marks the year of ‘Carve The Sun’ the highly anticipated follow up to ‘Sentiment’ three years on. The new songs are a progression on every level following member changes and the new found ease to write as a unit. On Friday 14th September 2012, ABD hold their ‘Carve The Sun’ Pre-launch gig where they will be performing the album in its entirety alongside material from the ‘Sentiment’ album. This is to be held at the Slade Rooms for in appreciation to all the fans made by playing in Wolverhampton and to thank the wolvescivic guys for their continual support

ABD hit the studio in February and completed the album in March. Due to the progression from ‘Sentiment’ with much more coming out of the sound ABD had decided to take their time with the mixing to ensure everything sounds as intended….perfect. The release date is now expected to be early October.

Wanting to make this a show to remember in every aspect, ABD approached local rockers ‘In Dantes Eclispe’ and ‘Twisted Species’ to warm things up. Drummer Benji (IDE) had stepped up last year in time of need to pick up sticks and facilitate ABD’s first headline gig at the Robin 2, so it felt only fitting to get IDE to play. Twisted Species came with high recommendation from trusted sources and did not disappoint when seen playing live.
